1. Who We Are
The Blood Pressure Calculator ("we," "us," "our") is a free online health information tool available at yourwebsite.com. We are not a medical organisation, healthcare provider, or insurance company. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of our website and blood pressure tracking tool.
2. What Data We Collect
Health Readings (Stored Locally Only)
When you use the blood pressure calculator and daily log, you may enter systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, pulse rate, date, time of day, and personal notes. This data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage โ a sandboxed storage area on your own device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Server Logs
Like all websites, our web server automatically records standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address (anonymised), browser type and version, pages visited, time and date of visit, and referring URL. This information is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not linked to any health data you enter into the calculator.
What We Do NOT Collect
- Your name, email address, or any contact details (unless you voluntarily contact us)
- Your blood pressure readings or health data of any kind
- Location data beyond country-level (derived from anonymised IP)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Any data that would allow us to identify you personally
3. How Your Health Data Is Stored
All blood pressure readings you log are stored using your browser's Web Storage API (localStorage). This means:
- Your data lives on your device, not on any server we control
- We cannot access, read, modify, or delete your readings
- If you clear your browser data or switch browsers/devices, your readings will be lost
- Your data is isolated to this website's origin and inaccessible to other websites
We strongly recommend that users who wish to retain their readings over the long term export or note down important values periodically, as browser storage can be cleared by browser maintenance routines.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use localStorage (not cookies) to save your blood pressure readings between sessions. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics. If we add any cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and users will be notified.
5. Third-Party Services
Our tool uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts โ We load DM Serif Display and DM Sans from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Chart.js (Cloudflare CDN) โ A charting library loaded from cdnjs.cloudflare.com. No user data is transmitted. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any other behavioural tracking or advertising technology.
6. Analytics & Tracking
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as aggregate page view counts) to understand how the tool is being used. Any analytics we implement will be configured to anonymise IP addresses, not set tracking cookies, and not build individual user profiles. We will update this policy if our analytics approach changes.
7. Children's Privacy
This tool is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at seofloss@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), or similar legislation. These rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to processing.
Since we do not collect or store your personal health data on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly by you through your browser settings (e.g. clearing localStorage). For any personal data we do hold (e.g. if you emailed us), please contact seofloss@gmail.comm.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect our website and any data processed through it. Our site is served over HTTPS. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. As noted above, your health readings are never transmitted to us, which means the most sensitive data in this context remains on your own device under your own control.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted with a prominent notice on the website. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
